Library Guidelines

To support academic growth and foster a love for reading, MGIS maintains a well-stocked library with clear guidelines to ensure smooth operations:

Borrowing Books

  • One book can be issued per student for a period of one week.
  • Students must carry their library cards when visiting the library.

Damaged or Lost Books

  • Books that are marked, disfigured, or damaged must be replaced or paid for by the borrower.
  • If a book is lost, the borrower must pay a penalty of double the cost of the book.

Late Returns

  • If books are returned late without a valid reason, the borrowing facility will be withdrawn for two weeks.
  • A fine of Rs. 10 per day will be charged for late returns.

Library Rules

  • All members must adhere to additional rules set by the librarian to maintain order and discipline in the library.
